What is Fox Factory?
Megan Smith is a freelance graphic designer, offering design services for print and web. What's behind the name? Style and efficiency. Effortless style is in the nature of a fox, along with quickness, cleverness and intelligence. Factories are representative of industrious, efficient work. These are the qualities that Megan brings to her design projects.
Megan has worked as a graphic designer for more than 10 years, and has experience in the fields of book publishing, marketing, non-profits, education, visual arts, and entrepreneurship. She has worked in-house with Minnesota Public Radio | American Public Media, HighBridge Audio, Slumberland, and Lerner Publishing. Her freelance clients include Girl Scouts Rivers Valley, Play from Scratch, Essex Cheese, Department of Bioproducts and Biosystems–UMN, and many individual business owners.
Megan is also a practicing professional artist, working under the name Megan Moore. See her paintings at MeganMoore.com.
Megan is one of the best designers I've ever worked with. She is an expert at balancing input from the client with her own knowledge and the result is always an end product that is high quality and perfect for the occasion. She works fast and is SO friendly. You can't go wrong with Megan.

Megan created graphics for print and web promotions and also managed image updating for our website and databases. She is talented, efficient, and just a pleasure to work with. I can't recommend her highly enough.

Professional, calm and unflappable while meeting deadlines in a timely manner: The most recent newsletter had a tight deadline and needed a quick turn-around. Not only did Megan meet this deadline, she finished a few days earlier than expected. During the editing process we often make changes to the layout and design of our newsletter Megan is able to assess ahead of time if a desired change will work with the number of pages we are working with and able to suggest ways of working with the information to effectively communicate our message.
Good eye for design: First draft is always well put together in a logical way with an excellent eye for design. This has enabled the editing process to go quickly (saving us money). Megan’s eye for design has created a clean, crisp modern looking newsletter that is quickly growing in popularity and interest. As a department at the University of Minnesota, our newsletter is an important marketing tool, we require a current look. Megan’s work on our newsletter reflects this requirement.
After this recent newsletter my supervisor sent me this email:
The Newsletter is outstanding. It looks so professional, and, even more important for our mission, makes the department, our faculty, students, staff and all the varied research look so alive, interesting and current.
Thanks again for all your hard work on it. — Susan

We have commissioned several art works from Megan. She has also helped design my company's logo and look. Her communication is great, and the work gets done exactly when she says it will, or sooner. You can't go wrong here.
